Behind the blog
Hi, I’m Evelina
Welcome , dear heart, to this small and sacred corner of my world!
I am a wife and a homemaker, a gardener with soil beneath my feet, an artist with paint and embroidery threads in my hands, and a storyteller at heart. My days unfold in a tiny 38-foot camper tucked beyond the long hush of pine trees in the Tennessee countryside, where I live with my husband, Roy, and our two little boys. Here, where the field stretches wide and wild around our patch of gravel, we have finally found what we once only longed for — home.
After many challenging years of traveling and renting from place to place, carrying our life in boxes and borrowed rooms, we came to rest here. This little camper, nestled beneath open skies, is the first place that feels ours wholly — a dwelling shaped not by walls, but by love, patience, and faithful tending.
Each day, I gather the simple, scattered pieces placed gently before me — a loaf rising in the kitchen, fabric waiting beneath my needle, yarn slipping through steady fingers, seeds pressed into waiting soil. I tend them as I tend my home: slowly, imperfectly, with devotion. In the weaving together of these ordinary fragments, I seek to cultivate joy and beauty even amid the sorrows and sharp edges of this world.
You will find here the things I cherish most: wholesome meals made from scratch, simple sewing and handmade crafts, knitting tutorials, my hand-drawn illustrations, and my love for slow, timeless fashion woven tenderly into my handmade collection, Home & Woods. Each creation carries the rhythm of a life lived close to the earth and close to the heart.
More About Evelina
My roots reach deep into the soils of Ukraine and Moldova, the lands where I was born and raised, where for sixteen years I learned the quiet skills of handmade living — how to stitch, knead, plant, mend, and make beauty out of what is given. Those early lessons still guide my hands.
With a luminous gift of wonder, I search for beauty lingering in ordinary places — in the warmth of bread, in the hush of a garden at dusk, in the whistling echoes of bobwhites, and swaying sheets drying under the open sky. It is there, in the heart of home, that I believe true abundance lives.
May the recipes, crafts, and creations you find here gently inspire you to shape your own dwelling — whether cottage, camper, or quiet corner — into a place of warmth, simplicity, and belonging. A place where wonder is welcomed daily, and where home is not merely lived in, but lovingly made.
With Love, Evelina
